Mordechai Shechter | Chairman
Born in 1921, married + 3 children and 10 grandchildren. After the establishment of the State of Israel, upon his release from the detention camps in Cyprus, he began working in the construction industry, making his way from his humble beginnings as a junior molder to being one of the most talented, professional and high-quality contractors and developers in Israel. With close to 70 years of experience in development and construction, Mordechai continues to innovate and lead the Group to achieving great and unique construction. in the 1990’s the Contractor Association awarded him with the title “Master Contractor”. He is also an active golfer, who has won many medals and trophies.
Yoram Shechter | CEO
Born in 1957, married + 3, holds a BA in Economics from Tel Aviv University. He started working as a manager in the company in 1984, and managed all of its development activities. In 2009 he received the title of Notable Member of the Construction Industry. Yoram engages in extensive public activities, and has served for many years in key positions in public institutions conducting activities of national importance, and in the media and the fields of aviation and industry, including: Chairman of the Channel 10 News Company, Director in the Israeli Aviation Authority and Chairman of the Authority’s Developmental Committee, Director in Ashot Ashkelon Ltd., a subsidiary of the Israeli Military Industries, Chairman of the Tel Aviv Contractors Union (1999-2003), and Vice President of the Contractors Association (2001-2003).
Jeries Haddad
Director Engineering and Execution
Chief Engineering and Execution Officer, born in 1967, married + 3 children, a qualified civil engineer from the Technion. After graduating his studies he joined the Schechter Group and since then has been managing all of its engineering and execution activities. Jeryes designed and built dozens of projects, including thousands of residential units in Israel and abroad, and tens of thousands of square meters of residential, commercial, hotel and industrial construction.
Rom Shechter
CPA
Born in 1989, Holds a BA in Accounting and Economics from Tel Aviv university. Prior to Shechter Group, Rom was a senior consultant at COGNUM (Prof. Itzhak Swary & co) a leading boutique financial consulting firm and specialized in analyzing and assessing real estate companies and projects. Rom serves as the Group’s VP Business Development, and responsible for developing the company’s future backlog.
Omer Orenstein
CPA, CFO
Born in 1981 married +1, studied accounting at the College of Management and graduated in 2008, was an intern and worked at the Wexler Kudenzik Enoch & Co. accounting firm. Served as the Director of Finance of Gan HaIr Group in 2011-2013. Currently serves as CFO of the Schechter Group in all its operations.
Hila Shechter
Economist & Director of Finance
Born in 1960, married +3, has a BA and MA in Economics and an MA in Philosophy from Tel Aviv University. She served as a financial adviser in leading companies, as a senior analyst at the Research Department of Bank HaPoalim and as a Director in Oil Refineries Ltd. and in Industrial Building Ltd.
